In the industrial tests for efficient recovery of cobalt from reactive magnesium oxide, the following steps were included in sequence.
The first leaching step: add water to adjust the leached ore to a slurry with a concentration of 25%, then add concentrated sulphuric acid and reducing agent, and react for 420 min under the conditions of controlling the sulphuric acid mass concentration of 10 g/l and redox potential of 360 mv
in the leaching process, and solid-liquid separation at the end of the reaction to obtain cobalt-containing liquid 1 and leaching slag, which is sent to the slurry storage for stockpiling;
The second step of iron removal: add two-stage cobalt slag to cobalt-containing liquid 1, and react for 40min under air-filled condition, then add low-grade cobalt ore finely ground to -0.074mm particle size with 80% by mass, and react for 60min under air-filled condition, control the end ph value of iron removal reaction to 4.0, and separate solid-liquid at the end of reaction to obtain cobalt-containing liquid 2 and iron removal slag, and return iron removal slag to the first step of leaching process ;
The third step of manganese removal: ...
